Moving-Up Ceremony
The 8th Grade Moving-Up Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Knickerbacker Middle School Gymnasium. The ceremony will last approximately 1 hour and consist of distributing academic awards and recognizing the students who have met the academic requirements to move on to 9th grade by stating their names and having them stand. Each student will receive 6 tickets for the ceremony. Tickets will be distributed to students on Tuesday, June 24.
If your child is receiving an academic award, you will be notified before the ceremony. Families will be allowed to enter the building at 8:45 AM. Before the ceremony, there will be a pancake breakfast for 8th graders. Mrs. Endieveri and Mrs. Guerette, the 8th-grade advisors, have sent out information for any parents interested in volunteering to assist with the breakfast.
8th Grade Semi-Formal Dance
On the evening of June 25 is the 8th Grade Semi-Formal Dance from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Knickerbacker Middle School. There will be music, refreshments, and a photo booth for 8th-grade students to enjoy. Students in the 8th grade who failed two or more classes will not be eligible to attend the Moving-up Ceremony or the Dance.
