Elijah Flowers
Lansingburgh Knights Sports Team: Modified Track & Field
Grade: 8
"Elijah is one of the captains of the Boy's Modified Track Team. He competes in the 55 hurdles, the 200 hurdles, the 4x100 relay, and the 4x200 relay. Elijah is a hard worker and leads by example during practices and meets. He is coachable, has a great attitude, and competes at a high level. Elijah's work ethic and leadership qualities exemplify what it means to be a Lansingburgh Knight."

Lansingburgh Knights Sports Team: Varsity Baseball
Grade: 9
"In his first year of Knights Varsity Baseball, Dan is absolutely exceeding expectations. Starting on varsity as a freshman is quite the role, but it does not seem to phase him. Dan is an outstanding role model at such a young age and a true leader. His accomplishments this year include a .495 batting average and a dominating performance against Ravena, pitching a complete game shut out, only allowing 2 hits in a 5-0 Knights win. Dan is the future of the Knights."

She continuously displays encouragement to other team members, a positive attitude, enthusiasm and overall investment in learning the most she can about track and field. Nataliya is a wonderful asset to the Lansingburgh Track and Field Team!"

"In his first year as goalie, Riley has shown incredible acumen and has grown tremendously. He averages a nearly 50% save rate against exceptional teams. Moreover, Riley is a consistent presence with a great work ethic and dedication to improving as a player."

Keegan Beidl
Lansingburgh Knights Sports Team: Modified Wrestling
Grade: 8
"Keegan is a second-year wrestler for the modified team and a captain. He is a tenacious wrestler who always gives 100% on the mat and goes above and beyond to get better at wrestling by participating in individual tournaments and extra practices at the Kirby training facility in Troy. Keegan always pushes his teammates to do better as well and holds them accountable when they mess up. Above all, Keegan is a respectful young man and a responsible student. We are lucky to have him on the team and he has a very bright future as a wrestler and football player! "

Nate shows exceptional maturity, accepting responsibility and wanting to do better."

"Miguel's hard work in the classroom is reflected on the court. Miguel is not afraid to do the work to be the best. His coachability sets him apart from his peers and he is always willing to go above and beyond to contribute to the program. You will always see Miguel helping the younger kids at the youth program and cheering on each player at JV and modified games. His name is frequently found on the honor/high honor roll list and he will be attending Ohio University to play baseball."

"Aidan's name is consistently found on the honor/high honor roll. He is self-motivated and determined to be the best player possible, on and off the court. Aidan has a very dry sense of humor, so don't let his quiet demeanor fool you. Over the past few games, Aidan has really stepped up and has been a crucial member of our team. Lansingburgh Knights Sports Team: JV Girls Volleyball
Grade: 10
"Annabelle has shown up to volleyball this season ready to work hard, learn and grow as a volleyball player and teammate. She asks how she can improve her playing each day and then works to improve on those skills - either at home, at practice, and even during games. She is always there to help and encourage her teammates - including using kind words and positive feedback! You will always hear her praising and cheering on her teammates before, during and after a game! Annabelle is new to Burgh this school year and is already off to a great start! She is such a wonderful addition to the Lansingburgh Community!"

Lansingburgh Knights Sports Team: Varsity Girls Cross Country

"Athena is a Track and Cross Country veteran whose dedication is near-unparalleled and who possesses a distinct raw talent for the sport. She works year-round on her craft, training long hours over the summer to build up her endurance for our 5k races. Athena juggles her sports with her academics and is also a member of the LHS Drama Club as well as the Knights Boxing Club throughout the winter season. She is currently ranked among the top 10 for the Section in Cross Country this year with hopes of making a post-season run in November."

"Jasanah is a huge team player and role model to the other athletes. This is her second year on the team and she is our setter. Whether it's helping set up the net or being the first one on the court, she is always ready to give it her all. She always has a great attitude by cheering her teammates to help keep a positive attitude on the court."

"Robert is the definition of a student-athlete. He is an honors student who participates in clubs/organizations beyond just playing sports. Robert is a two-year starter at quarterback for the JV Football team, and he was unanimously selected as a captain by his teammates this season. Robert always puts his best foot forward at practice and in games, no matter the adversity he faces. He is the glue of the JV team and an absolute pleasure to coach!"

Lansingburgh Knights Sports Team: Varsity Boys Cross Country
Grade: 12
"Trae has been running Track and Field and Cross Country since the 9th Grade. His specialization in the 1600 and 3200 on the track has made him an ideal lead man on this year's Cross Country roster. With a personal best time of 16:35 in a 5k race, Trae is focused on breaking into the top 50 in the state and pushing his time into the sub-16:00 range. He is a hard worker with a tirelessly positive attitude that sets the tone for his teammates on a daily basis. Trae is a fantastic athlete and a wonderful young man who represents the very best of our Cross Country and Track and Field Program; we cannot wait to see what he does at Sectionals this November!"

Lansingburgh Knights Sports Team: Varsity Boys Soccer
Grade: 8
"Tyler is a phenomenal young man. He is a hard worker and never quits during practices/games. He is relentless in pursuit of the ball and leaves everything he has on the field. He possesses leadership skills beyond his years and serves as one of four captains on the varsity soccer team. He is willing to play any position on the field if it means helping the team compete. Tyler is also very respectful, coachable, and humble. During a recent game against Ravena, Tyler converted on a direct kick outside the box, putting it over the outstretched arms of the goalkeeper. This strike gave the Knights their first goal of the season. Tyler embodies all the qualities of a leader, both on and off the field."

Lansingburgh Knights Sports Team: Varsity Girls Cross Country
Grade: 9
"After running for the Varsity Cross Country Team in 8th Grade, Adriana trained throughout the winter and on into the Spring during the Outdoor Track and Field Season. Her hard work last year, coupled with her fierce determination and her hard work over the summer has positioned her as the second-fastest runner on the Varsity Girls Cross Country Team. Clocking in over three minutes faster than she ran last year, Adriana is positioned to have an incredibly successful showing this year and beyond. Her positive attitude and her tireless work ethic make Adriana a staple of our Cross Country and Track and Field program and an athlete to keep an eye on in the future!"

"Jayden is a great leader on the field and in the classroom. This is why he was voted team captain by his teammates for the 2022 Football Season. Jayden demonstrates great sportsmanship and leadership every day he steps on the field, whether it’s practice or game day! Jayden excels in the classroom because of his hard work and his will to be great. He does not want to be the guy to get outworked by anyone. Like most captains, he makes it like having a coach in the offensive huddle."
