Dominic Murray Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Prevention Act

To address the rare occurrence of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in school sports, Governor Hochul signed into law the Dominic Murray Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act to ensure that schools, students, and families are provided with important information on SCA signs, symptoms, and risks to ensure students at risk are evaluated appropriately prior to participation in athletics, and that SCA is immediately recognized and treated.
