June 8, 2022

Lansingburgh families with students entering grades 6-12 in September 2022, please carefully review the information and policy below for student Chromebook use during the summer months.

Please review the: 1:1 Chromebook Policy

This summer, students entering Grades 6-12  will be taking their Chromebooks home for safekeeping. They are expected to return to school in September with their Chromebooks. Here are some guidelines for taking care of your Chromebook over the summer months.

To keep your Chromebook in working order, please remember these rules:

  • Keep your Chromebook stored up high, on a table or similar (not on the floor or bed)
  • Always carry your Chromebook from the bottom - NEVER by the screen
  • When not in use, SHUT DOWN your Chromebook, do not just close the lid
  • Chromebooks should be charged regularly.
  • Check out this presentation for more information:

Should you have an issue with your Chromebook over the summer, please fill out the family technology support survey which is located on the District Website or via this link:   We will make arrangements to repair your Chromebook at a convenient time.

If you LEAVE the district, please return your Chromebook and Charger to Lansingburgh CS District Office, located at 55 New Turnpike Road between the hours of 9 am-3 pm. Please note these are property of the district, and failure to return them will result in fines.

Over the summer, student Chromebooks and browsing will be monitored.  The Chromebooks are the property of Lansingburgh Central School District and students will still adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy as outlined by the District.

Students who return to school in September with broken or lost Chromebooks will NOT be replaced until all new students and other issues are addressed. In most instances, this means broken or lost devices will not be fixed or replaced until October 1st or later.

If you DO NOT want your student to keep their Chromebook over the summer, please email Gina Fusco, Director of Instructional Technology at
