Superintendent Memo (Feb. 7): Test to Stay Consent Reminder

February 7, 2022

The following message from Lansingburgh Superintendent, Dr. Abitabile, was sent to all Lansingburgh families on Monday, February 7.

All school reopening news and COVID-19 updates can be found on the district’s 2021-2022 Reopening Updates page here.

Good morning Lansingburgh School Community,

Just a reminder to our families that anyone who opts to utilize Test to Stay needs to consent to test via FamilyID.

Please click this link and complete the form: https://www.familyid.com/programs/covid-19-parental-testing-consent-form-2021-22

Test to Stay is available to anyone who has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.  Unvaccinated students can remain in school as long as they continue to be symptom-free and have 2 negative COVID-19 tests administered in a 5-day span.

Our school nurses are trained to conduct the tests but can only proceed if you have consented on FamilyID.  You can save time NOW by consenting in advance.

As another option, students who are fully vaccinated also can stay in school while symptom-free and do not have to test.

Respectfully,
Antonio Abitabile
LCSD Superintendent
