Request Home COVID-19 Tests Using FamilyID

January 5, 2022

The following message from Lansingburgh Superintendent, Dr. Abitabile, was emailed to all Lansingburgh families on Wednesday, January 5.

Please note that to request a home test kit for your student on the district's FamilyID page here you first need to create a FamilyID account if you do not already have one.

All school reopening news and COVID-19 updates can be found on the district’s 2021-2022 Reopening Updates page here.

Lansingburgh Families,

The District has received a shipment of COVID-19 Antigen Home Test kits from New York State.  Part of that shipment is being used to distribute to families for home use.  If you would like a test kit sent home with your child, please complete this survey by clicking this link—> https://www.familyid.com/programs/covid-19-home-test-kit-request-2022.  Complete the form for EACH child enrolled in our District.

For now, each student can receive one kit, which contains two tests.  These tests are to be used as screening tools only and are completely voluntary.  Click HERE for instructions on how to administer the test.  Anyone who tests positive on a take-home test should immediately report their results to the school and begin isolating. Students testing positive using an at-home test kit must complete a lab-confirmed COVID-19 test. Please visit

https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/find-test-site-near-you to find a nearby testing site.

We strongly encourage that you utilize these home test kits for your children when they are available. If you or others in your household need to be tested, please visit https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/find-test-site-near-you to find a nearby testing site.

We are planning on sending the test kits home with your children on Friday, January 7th during dismissal and will send an automated message as a reminder.  Please check their backpacks when they arrive home from school.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Dr. Antonio W. Abitabile, Ed. D.
