October 8, 2021

We are proud to share that Lansingburgh Central School District Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds, Robert Schongar, has been appointed President of the Board of the Directors for the New York State School Facilities Association (NYSSFA)!

Mr. Schongar accepted his new role as board president at NYSSFA's Annual Conference Dinner on  October 5, 2021. If you are unfamiliar with NYSSFA, the organization serves as the voice for 600+ NYS Directors of School Facilities, Facilities Managers, Head Custodians, Health & Safety Coordinators and many other school facilities personnel. In short, it represents the people who make it possible for school buildings/facilities to be functioning, welcoming places to learn and teach

"It is a great honor to become president of this statewide organization to lead into the future. I look forward to sharing through the state, strategies for best practices on how to move school facilities forward as we recover and move on from Covid. I also look forward to continuing to have quality education webinars thru SFMI and other best practice items to share thru the state organization."  -Robert Schongar, LCSD Superintendent of Buildings & Ground

Mr. Schongar has done incredible work over the years and continues to do so as Lansingburgh's Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds. The entire district congratulates him on his well-deserved new role as NYSSFA Board President.
