Changes to New York State Vaccination Exemptions

6/25/2019 - We're notifying Lansingburgh families that recently enacted legislation signed by Governor Cuomo has eliminated non-medical exemptions (including religious exemptions) as a reason to refuse school vaccination requirements. All non-medical reasons, including religious reasons, are no longer an acceptable reason for students not being vaccinated against measles or other diseases.

Please carefully review this information as this legislation is effective immediately as of June 13, 2019

Students attending public, private or parochial school who claimed a religious exemption to required immunizations in the past must now receive the first age-appropriate dose in each immunization series by June 28, 2019, to attend or remain in school or child day care.
