May 16, 2023
Residents of the Lansingburgh Central School District have approved a $60,541,069 budget for the 2023-2024 School Year by a vote of 314 (YES) to 122 (NO).
This budget represents a $3,157,205 spending increase from the 2022-2023 School Year. The estimated tax levy increase for the 2023-2024 Budget is 1.4%, which is below the allowable tax levy limit of 1.8% set by New York State.
Voters also approved a proposition for the district to create a Capital Construction Reserve Fund by a vote of 328 (YES) to 106 (NO). The fund will be a place to set aside money to help pay for future district construction projects. The district cannot use money in the fund without voter approval and any spending from it must be approved by residents in a future vote.
Residents also re-elected Jason Shover to one seat on the Lansingburgh Board of Education. The board seat is for a 5-year term (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2028). Vote counts and candidate names are below in the order they appeared on the ballot:

The district thanks all the residents who participated in this year’s budget vote and board election.
