Lansingburgh Central School District congratulates Jenna Tyler on receiving her National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards! Ms. Tyler teaches Math at Lansingburgh High School.

National Board Certification is one of the biggest achievements there is for teachers and the standards for it are created by teachers themselves. It is designed to develop, retain and recognize the nation’s teachers while generating ongoing improvement in schools.

The certification is an intense process with 4 components teachers must complete to demonstrate their expertise, each one taking many hours to finish. Throughout the certification process, Ms. Tyler had to complete a test, record videos during classroom instruction and write multiple reflective papers.

“I decided to go for my National Board Certification because I wanted to challenge myself professionally and push myself to grow as an educator,” said Ms. Tyler.

The district could not be prouder of Ms. Tyler and is so happy to have her teaching Lansingburgh High School students!
