One of our favorite traditions in Lansingburgh returned on February 1, 2023: World Read Aloud Day! Turnpike Elementary School and Rensselaer Park Elementary School hosted dozens of guest readers between them including elected officials, community business owners, board members, firefighters, Troy Police, Lansingburgh faculty/staff and many more. World Read Aloud Day was founded so people around the world could celebrate reading aloud as a way to advocate for literacy as a human right.
