Whitney Young Health Center acts as the school physician and oversees the health services offered by the district. Each school has nursing services available to complete mandatory screenings such as vision and hearing, dispense physician prescribed medication to students, ensure updated physical exams and immunizations are recorded, and provide emergency medical care.

Flu Vaccination Notification from New York State (October 5, 2020)
To comply with the New York State Public Health Law we are required to post the following notice from the New York Department of Health (NYSDOH). This notice contains information about the influenza (flu) vaccine and the benefits of getting it this fall.

Meningococcal Vaccine Requirement for Grades 7-12 in 2020-2021 (July 14, 2020)
Lansingburgh parent/guardians of students entering grades 7-12 in Fall 2020, please note that beginning in the 20-21 school year it is a new New York State Department of Health requirement for those students to have the meningococcal vaccine. Without out, they cannot start the school year.

2020-2021 Student Immunization Requirements (July 7, 2020)
Please be in touch with your student's primary care physician as soon as possible to ensure they receive all of the required New York State 2020-2021 Immunization Requirements before school restarts in the fall.
As of this time, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) is not waiving any immunization requirements due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). All students are still required to have their immunizations for the 2020-2021 school year at this time.
