Open EnrollmentHealth insurance open enrollment for full-time staff runs until July 1, 2020, and is the time to add coverage. If a staff member forgot to tell the district Benefits Coordination about a change in their life situation during the 30 day change period, before July 1 is the time to add coverage. How is COVID-19 Impacting NYSTRS?
Doctor On Demand Telemedicine w/ BlueShield
Lansingburgh staff with BlueShield of Northeastern New York’s PPO Medical Plan, there is no co-pay when using Doctors on Demand. You will need your Blue Shield ID Number and Group Number to enroll.
As part of your health benefit, Telemedicine hosted by Doctor On Demand connects you to a board-certified physician by video. These doctors can review symptoms and medications, perform an exam, and recommend a treatment plan. Doctors are available within minutes or by appointment.
To access care visit DoctorOnDemand.com, download the Doctor On Demand app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android), or text ENROLL to 68398.
Doctor On Demand allows you to receive care for yourself or a child (under 18 years old) on the same account. Follow these steps to call in for a child:
1) Open the Doctor On Demand app and select 'Get Care'.
2) Select 'See First Available', 'Book A Medical Visit', or 'Book A Mental Health Session'
3) Select who the visit is for or select 'My Child'.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions.
