All students will be required to read and sign the summer school handbook, as well as a parent/guardian. This should be signed and returned to the office.
Summer School Attendance Requirements
Students must participate in class for a minimum of 20 days, excluding examination days. If a student exceeds 2 absences from a class, the student will receive no credit and will be dis-enrolled from classes. Tardiness of more than 15 minutes is considered a day of non-participation. Three tardies less than 15 minutes count as one absence.
Summer School Grades
Final exams must be taken before summer school credit can be awarded, regardless of marks obtained in class work. No finals may be taken earlier than the scheduled date. Summer school course final grade averages for classes NOT ending with a Regents exam will be made up of 2 marking periods and a final in class exam. Classes that end with a Regents exam will have a final average of the two marking periods.
