2022-2023 School Budget Vote & Board of Education Election
On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, residents of the Lansingburgh Central School District voted to approve a $57,383,864 budget for the 2022-2023 school year by a vote of 462 (yes) to 186 (no).
Residents also elected Talia Pallozzi, Jessica Vartigian and Thomas Zakrzewski to three seats on the Board of Education. Talia Pallozzi and Jessica Vartigian were the two candidates with the highest number of votes and were each elected for a full 5-year term (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2027). Thomas Zakrzewski was the candidate with the third-highest number of votes and was elected to fill a currently vacant seat. Mr. Zakrzewski’s term will be for 2 years (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2024) remaining in the term of the seat vacated by Robert Morris.

Who Can Vote
- You are an eligible voter if you are:
- A legal US resident;
- 18 years old by May 17, 2022; and
- Live within the Lansingburgh Central School District boundaries for at least 30 days prior to May 17, 2022.
Anyone not registered to vote in the School Budget Vote and Board Member Election may come to the District Office (55 New Turnpike Road, Troy, NY) on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, between the hours of 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
How You Can Vote
In-person voting will be done with the use of voting machines at the following polling locations between 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM on May 17, 2022:
- Voting District 1: Lansingburgh High School Gym (320 7th Ave.)
- The voting location for those living north of 101st St to the south of 118th St.
- Voting District 2: Turnpike Elementary School Gym (55 New Turnpike Rd.)
- The voting location for those living north of 118th St to the end of Pleasantdale; Northern Drive; Corliss Park; Miami Beach Estates; Highpointe; all of Brunswick 7; and all of Speigletown.
- Speigletown Fire House is not a voting location.
Absentee ballots are again available to any registered voter this year. Applications for absentee ballots are obtainable from the District Clerk at the District Office (55 New Turnpike Road, Troy, NY).

Completed absentee ballot applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 PM, prevailing time, on May 17, 2022.
Annual Budget Hearing
The Lansingburgh Central School District Annual Budget Hearing is taking place at Knickerbacker Middle School Auditorium (320 7th Ave, Troy, NY) on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 6:30 PM for the presentation of the 2022-2023 Proposed School Budget. Beginning on May 3, 2022, copies of the budget document will be available, upon request, at the District Office between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The Annual Budget Hearing will be directly preceded by Meet the Candidates for the Board of Education at 6:00 PM.
