Welcome to the Lansingburgh Central School District Athletics Department.  Participation in an interscholastic athletic program is not only a fun and rewarding experience but also a privilege and a valuable educational experience.  Sports can have a lasting impact on a student-athlete.  By teaching our student-athletes the importance of hard work, leadership, teamwork, academic excellence, school traditions, and social responsibility we will prepare them for life after high school.    -Mr. Colfer

Student-Athlete of the Week

  • Student-Athlete of the Week shines a spotlight on specific Lansingburgh students who also play on our athletics teams. Each week, coaches of each Lansingburgh Knights sports teams choose an exemplary student-athlete who demonstrates not only talent and leadership skills but also good sportsmanship. 


    Student-Athletes of the Week Student-Athlete(s) of the Week: Izaiah Rondon and Ben Rysedorph

    Team: JV Boys Basketball

    Nominating Coach: Mr. Juste 

    Why were Izaiah and Ben nominated?

    Izaiah (Grade 10): Of all the team members, he's the closest thing to a coach. Izaiah grasps concepts very quickly and easily explains them to teammates. His guidance on a whole makes the JV team family stronger. Overall, Izaiah's positivity and leadership are unmatched! 

    Ben (Grade 9): Ben has been a welcome addition to the team this year. His intelligence, great communication skills and offensive rebounding have really helped the team's success. He's improving every day and can lead by example.
