Welcome to the Lansingburgh Central School District Athletics Department.  Participation in an interscholastic athletic program is not only a fun and rewarding experience but also a privilege and a valuable educational experience.  Sports can have a lasting impact on a student-athlete.  By teaching our student-athletes the importance of hard work, leadership, teamwork, academic excellence, school traditions, and social responsibility we will prepare them for life after high school.    -Mr. Colfer

Student-Athlete of the Week

  • Student-Athlete of the Week shines a spotlight on specific Lansingburgh students who also play on our athletics teams. Each week, coaches of each Lansingburgh Knights sports teams choose an exemplary student-athlete who demonstrates not only talent and leadership skills but also good sportsmanship.

The last of the Fall 2019 Student-Athletes of the Week are below. We'll have Winter 2019-20 student-athletes represented in the coming weeks!

    Student Athletes of the Week

Student-Athlete of the Week: Aiden Dyer, Bryan Trujillo-Madrid and A.J.  Sirtori

    Team: Modified Soccer

    Nominating Coach: Mr. Loatman

Why were Aiden, Bryan and A.J. nominated? They all work hard in the classroom and on the field, setting good examples for their classmates and teammates alike.

How do these three demonstrate leadership? All three of them lead by example. Each one of them supports the other players during practices/games and their peers in the classroom.

Anything else to add? These three teammates never boast about their abilities or require accolades for their accomplishments. They never miss a game, a practice or a class.
