Welcome to the Lansingburgh Central School District Athletics Department.  Participation in an interscholastic athletic program is not only a fun and rewarding experience but also a privilege and a valuable educational experience.  Sports can have a lasting impact on a student-athlete.  By teaching our student-athletes the importance of hard work, leadership, teamwork, academic excellence, school traditions, and social responsibility we will prepare them for life after high school.    -Mr. Colfer

Student-Athlete of the Week

  • Student-Athlete of the Week shines a spotlight on specific Lansingburgh students who also play on our athletics teams. Each week, coaches of each Lansingburgh Knights sports teams choose an exemplary student-athlete who demonstrate not only talent and leadership skills but also good sportsmanship.

    Student-Athlete Grace Cusack

The final Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2018-2019 school year is Grace Cusack, a graduating senior and Team Captain of our Girls Varsity Track & Field Team. Grace finished her final year of track by winning Division 2 Sectional Champion in the 100m Hurdles and also competing in the Section 2 State Qualifier Meet.

An outstanding athlete showing unparalleled dedication, perseverance and commitment to the sport. In addition to her leadership role on the team, she demonstrated her leadership skills as the Anchor of the 4x100-meter relay team and also took time to work with many of the younger, modified hurdlers throughout the season.

Grace was a constant on the track team throughout her time at Lansingburgh High School and will be missed by the entire program. Coach Foard wants her to know she exemplifies everything the coaching staff looks for in a Track & Field athlete and that they all wish her the best in the future.
