Sex Offender Registry
Under the New York State Sex Offender Registration Act, anyone on parole or probation or imprisoned for a sex offense on or after January 21, 1996, is required to keep local law enforcement agencies and the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services informed of his or her current address.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services maintains a state-wide sex offender registry and Rensselaer County maintains a county sex offender registry. These websites will allow users to find information on paroled sex offenders residing in the Lansingburgh community.
The New York State registry tends to be the most current. Users may search the database by last name, county, or zip code.
