Muscular Dystrophy Fundraiser

The Knickerbacker Middle School student council will participate in “Shamrocks Against Muscular Dystrophy,” a fundraising event that captures the festival spirit of St. Patrick’s Day.

The campaign is designed to turn the school green with shamrocks which are sold to students and community members in an effort to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Shamrocks will be sold during the school day beginning February 25th through March 13th, and can be purchased by students, parents, faculty and community members of all ages. Green shamrocks are priced at $1, and gold shamrocks are priced at $5. Those who make a donation can write their name on a shamrock, and all shamrocks will be displayed on the walls at KMS.

Shamrocks can be purchased at school, at community events and in the KMS guidance office. Funds raised will be used to assist individuals in the Lansingburgh community with this neuromuscular disease.
