Lacrosse Program to Begin
Lansingburgh High School will have a boys' lacrosse team this spring.
The team will play on the JV level in the Colonial Council for the 2008 season that begins in April, and plans on fielding a varsity-level team for 2009, according to athletic director Mike Harkin.
About 40 students have signed up for the program. The team will play its home games at Knickerbacker Field. Davis Chamberlain will be its head coach while John Pravel will be the assistant coach.
The district previously only offered boys' lacrosse on the modified level.
