Kindergarten Registration Set
Parents of students who will attend kindergarten in the district beginning in the 2008-09 school year should begin making arrangements to register their children.
Registration at Rensselaer Park Elementary School will take place on May 6th and 7th. Registration at Turnpike Elementary School will be held on May 8th and 9th. Appointments can be made between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Before that, though, parents should call the school their child will attend to schedule an appointment to complete the registration process. Parents can schedule a registration appointment at Rensselaer Park School by calling 233-6823, and at Turnpike School by calling 233-6822.
At the appointment, parents will fill out several forms and incoming students will undergo a brief screening. Incoming kindergarten students must attend the registration appointment, which will last about 45 minutes.
At the appointment, parents must provide their child's birth certificate, proof of residence (a Niagara Mohawk or National Grid billing statement can be used), and the child's health records
