No Child Left Behind Act Parent Release
A clause in the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requires schools to release student names, addresses and phone numbers to military recruiters and institutions of higher learning if requested. According to a directive from the State Education Department, this information may be withheld upon a parental request. The Lansingburgh High School Guidance Office will send a form to the parents or guardians of juniors and seniors to complete if they are requesting their child's name not be released.
