For each of the past nine years the Knickerbacker Middle School staff has participated in an annual Thanksgiving Feast put on by Ms. Carrozza’s, Mr. Jasuta’s, and Mr. Merill’s special education classes. The Thanksgiving Feast has allowed special education students to plan, organize, and design the event. This tradition instills a message of teamwork and unity here at KMS. This message is particularly meaningful this year as our community faces tough economic concerns.
This year, faculty members brought in an item to donate to the local food bank. The faculty came through by doubling the amount of donations that were originally predicted. Staff will be delivering the donated items to the St. Augustine’s Food Bank for the Lansingburgh community. Congratulations to all staff and students that participated in this important yearly tradition.
