Senator Roy McDonald Visits Lansingburgh

On Friday, February 13th, New York State Senator Roy McDonald visited students, faculty, and administration at Knickerbacker Middle School and Lansingburgh High School. The Senator, who represents New York's 43rd district, met to discuss concerns with the upcoming state budget, take a tour of the secondary complex, and share lunch with several Knickerbacker students.

As a graduate of Lansingburgh, Senatory McDonald experienced a bit of nostalgia as he walked the halls speaking with students and teachers alike.

“I am personally a product of the great education provided here with the Lansingburgh school district.” Senator McDonald continued, "I remember walking these halls as a student and couldn't be more proud of the public education system we have which provides many opportunities to our youth. We need to provide the best quality care and education for our less fortunate young people. I am happy to visits these schools today and plan to visit many of the schools in my district during my time in office.”
