Soundwaves to perform in Cleveland
The Soundwaves, a Lansingburgh High School vocal group that performs show music, jazz and rock songs, will be participating in the North American Music Festival in Cleveland in mid-May.
The group, a “show choir” conducted by district music teacher Mrs. Shepherd, will be in Cleveland to perform at the festival from May 15th to the 17th.
Twenty-eight members of the Soundwaves will make the trip. They are sopranos Amanda Agneta, Sara Alonge, Micaela Barker, LoriAnn Johnson, Melissa Middlebrook, Jenna Rowe, Lyndsay Rysedorph, CarlyAnn Sawyer and Liz Sawyer; tenors Mark Bopp, Zach Courter, Matt Grimes, Nick Martiniano and Joe Yang; altos Sara Anderson, Andrea Baer, Rachel Bristol, Liz Brzozowski, Aerica Fredricks, Julia Jimino, Kaitlyn Morris, Stephanie Schabhetl and Rebecca Sweeney; and, basses Jim Bulmer, Zach Grimlin, Kyle Pipino, Mike Spaulding and Dallas White.
The group is holding a variety of fund raisers, including candy sales, sales of Avon products and a bottle drive, to defray expenses. Anyone interested in supporting the fundraisers should contact Mrs. Shepherd at 233-6806, Ext. 1350.
