Several Lansingburgh High School athletes earned mentions for their successes during the recently concluded winter sports season in a special section honoring Winter athlete all-stars that appeared in the April 11th edition of the Times Union newspaper.
Two Lansingburgh bowlers were designated as first-team selections.
Senior Jim Bulmer, who led all scorers with a 1.470 six-game total in the Section II tournament; and junior Liz Pratt, who turned in the high individual game in the Section II Class B tournament, were the first-team bowling selections.
Steven Black, a junior, was a second-team honoree for bowling.
Nyquan McGirt, a senior, was a second-team selection for indoor track, while Kayleigh Retell, a senior, was also a second-team pick for girls’ indoor track.
Athletes from more than 90 school districts throughout the Capital Region were eligible for selection.
