Basketball Teams Advance in Sectional Play
The girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball teams each advanced to the next round of Section II tournament Class A-level play with recent victories.
The girls won their first-round game with a 61-11 victory over Bishop Gibbons on Tuesday, February 19. The boys advanced by holding off Gloversville, 65-62, on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
The girls play again on Friday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. against Burnt Hills High School in a game to be played at Mohonasen High School.
The boys' next game is a 6 p.m. meeting with its division’s top-seed, Albany Academy on Saturday, Feb. 23 at the SEFCU Arena on the campus of the University at Albany.
There is a $6 admission fee for each game.
