District Bond Vote on Tuesday
District residents have an opportunity to vote on the proposed Capital Improvement Project on Tuesday, February 26.
The $2.9 million proposition would be funded through state aid and EXCEL (Expanding our Children’s Education and Learning) aid available to the district. There would be no tax impact on the local taxpayer.
The district is seeking to maximize use of state aid that funds building improvements and facility upgrades at a time when state funds are available to cover the complete cost of the work.
The project will provide structural building improvements and safety, security and instructional facility upgrades at the four school buildings in the district.
Voting can be done at the Knickerbacker Middle School, the Turnpike Elementary School and the Speigletown Fire House. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
