Input Sought on District Goals
District residents and staff members are invited to take part in a process to review and provide input to several plans that guide us in identifying district goals and policies.

The process will seek input into:

- Examining and reviewing the District Unitary Plan, a three-year plan that began at the start of the current school year that deals with overall academic goals.

- Title I, an educational program supported by general funds.

- The Contract for Excellence, which uses New York State foundation aid to maintain existing academic programs as well as requiring the implementation of new academic programs.

Meetings are expected to last between an hour to 90 minutes. The first meeting will be held on Monday, February 11, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. in our high school/middle school Library Media Center, and will include further explanation of each plan prior to the start of the review process.

Dates of subsequent meetings will be decided upon by the group. Those interested in attending should RSVP to district superintendent George Goodwin at 233-6850, ext. 3400, or via e-mail at ggoodwin@lansingburgh.org by February 4, 2008.
