Troy Record Honors Two Girls’ Team Players
Two members of the Lansingburgh High School girls’ basketball team were recognized for their court work this season on The Troy Record’s All-City Girls’ Basketball Team, released in the March 27th edition of the paper. [More information]

Oligney Advances to NYS Wrestling Tournament
Congratulations to Lansingburgh High School Student Nick Oligney. He represented Lansingburgh in the NYS Wrestling tournament Friday, March 7, 2008. Nick is the first wrestler in Lansingburgh history to qualify for the State tournament. We also want to congratulate Alney Tobias who will be representing Lansingburgh in the NYS Indoor Track finals this weekend. Congratulations and Best of Luck to both student athletes.

Jazz Ensemble to Play in Caribbean
The Lansingburgh High School's Jazz Ensemble will make an early April trip to the Caribbean where it will stage two performances under the direction of high school music teacher Kevin Champagne. [More information on Jazz Ensemble]

Hoop Team Raises Money
The Lansingburgh boys' varsity basketball team not only earned a 69-40 victory in its home game against Schalmont on January 29, but also scored a victory in a fundraiser to help fight cancer. [More information on fundraiser]

Lansingburgh Runs off to Track Title
The Lansingburgh boys' indoor track team captured its fourth consecutive Colonial Council championship at the league meet on Jan. 27. [More information on track title]

Internet Safety:  Several websites are devoted to providing information to parents and teachers about how to protect children when using the internet. The Parents' Guide to the Information Superhighway is one excellent resource.

  • Check out Connected Kids link under District Resources. Connected Kids is an online information system for young people in the City of Troy and Rensselaer County.  Several items feature Lansingburgh students.  You may reach Connected Kids directly at the following website; connectedkids.info. 
  • COLLEGE CREDIT COURSES AT LANSINGBURGH HIGH SCHOOL.  Lansingburgh High School Students may take advantage of College in High School Program in which students may take as many 12 college courses yielding 48 college credits while at Lansingburgh High School.   Hudson Valley Community College approved courses include Calculus (8 credits), Desktop Publishing (3 credits), Public Speaking (3 credits), American History (6 credits), American Government/Economics (3 credits), Business Computer Analysis (3 credits), Graphics (3 credits).  SUNY ALBANY approved courses include Music Theory (3 credits), Spanish (4 credits), Advanced Biology (6 credits), English (3 credits), Shakespeare (3 credits).
Lansingburgh High School
Lansingburgh High School is one of four schools in the Lansingburgh Central School District. Comprising grades 9-12, Lansingburgh High School houses approximately 830 students and employs approximately 85 professional and support staff. Like all Lansingburgh Central School District schools, Lansingburgh High School is rated as a school in good standing under the federal No Child Left Behind Act.

More than 90 percent of Lansingburgh graduates attend two- and four-year colleges.
