Lansingburgh Academy
The Lansingburgh Academy is the district’s professional development arm. Just as we take pride in our students’ achievements, we take pride in our teachers’ and staff members’ achievements. We believe educational pursuit and excellence does not end with a graduation or certification. Rather, we see education as ongoing and an important aspect of life. To us, the pursuit of education is as fundamental as the pursuit of health and happiness. Therefore, we established the Lansingburgh Academy to make it as easy as possible for our district teachers and employees to continue their educational interests.
The mission of the academy is to provide a professional development program that is experientially based, cooperatively planned, personally internalized and regularly evaluated. Education sessions will enhance skills, encourage new ideas and support collaboration.
