The Lansingburgh High School Jazz Ensemble and Soundwaves return home from a successful trip to Virginia Beach. 43 members of our music department participated in the North American Music Festival in Norfolk, Virginia on May 1st. Both the Jazz Ensemble and Soundwaves received a rating of “Excellent” at the festival.
The Soundwaves also had the opportunity to perform at Busch Gardens in Virginia. They sang on the Italy stage at the park and had quite an audience!
We have had great support from parents, faculty and staff and community members as we raised money for the trip. We would like to thank the Lansingburgh schools and community for the support we received in order for us to travel to this festival. It was a very rewarding trip for the performers.
