Students Interviewed During Radiothon

On May 30th, Knickerbacker Middle School Student Council Advisor Mrs. Lyons, and three KMS students were invited to be a part of the Annual Albany Medical Children's Hospital Radiothon. Mrs. Lyons was accompanied by 8th Graders David Muniz and Chris Jackson, and 6th Grader Dory Fitzpatrick. All four were interviewed during the radiothon regarding the fundraiser for the Children's Hospital that took place at KMS during February and March. The school raised a total of $603.00 for this cause. During the interviews, each student expressed their feelings regarding the fundraiser and why it was important for KMS to participate. Mrs. Lyons urged listeners to call in and make donations to the Children's Hospital, since it is a vital institution in our community which we are fortunate to have so close.

The interview aired at 11:00am on WGY 810am radio. In addition, student council was awarded a $50.00 Staples certificate, as appreciation from the children's hospital.
