What's New in Lansingburgh Sports
Reminder from the School Nurse
Students trying out for all sports and all seventh and tenth grade students are mandated by New York State to receive a physical. If your child will be receiving a sports physical with the school nurse that will count toward this requirement. School physicals will be given on July 29th, August 19th, and August 26th from 8:00am until 11:00am.
If you chose not to have a school physical, please schedule an appointment with your primary care doctor as soon as possible. Also, forms for sports physicals are available at the front offices all summer if a student is going to their own doctor.
Football begins Aug. 16th and all other sports Aug. 23rd
Faculty and Staff Run GHI Race
On May 20, 2010 faculty and staff from the Lansingburgh Central School District ran the GHI Corporate Challenge in downtown Albany. Joined by over 8,000 area runners, our male team of Patrick Amoyt, Shaun Donegan, Patrick Wilson, and Patrick O'Malley finished 38th out of 252 teams. Our co-ed team of Erin Lanni, Stephanie Defrancesco, Andrew Sheehan and Rian Colbert finished 99th out of 231 teams.
Knickerbacker Middle School teacher Shaun Donegan finished 14th overall out of 8,000 runners!
